very nice!!!not only do they normally cost 295$ but at the yearly numberplate auction for personalised numberplates (organised by the transport dept. i think)you would make a killing on those were you ever to sell them....but keep em for ever!!!great buy....saw them but i thought that they would go for a fortune so i didnt even end up bidding.but i did win a split window vw beetle decklid last week on ebay for 167$au!!!!(1949-1952..perfect condition!!)

no,but i can get a popes nose when i get to germany on a swap meet as easily as you can get a pair of oval taillights on a vw swap in aus.but heres a pic anyway.its dent and rust free and still has the original FADED green on the inside!!!still a bargain considering what thier going for these days!!!!

just found out that ill be going to some special kdf/split beetle meeting swapmeet in yugoslavia instead of hanova vw swap in germany(pitty that thier on the same day😠)but hopefully ill get alot of early parts there and my pre 49 if im lucky!!ive been to that many swaps where a split beetle that ive taken photos of on a back of a trailer(while going in to the swap ,waiting in the sellers line up of cars)only to find out that the split first sold for 500 and ends up being sold 4 or 5 times before the swap ends reaching its highest price to the last buyer!!thats why i always ask even if something isnt even on the swap site yet....just to get a head start.!!!and it works every now and then😉
