Im a carpenter and know nothing about concrete, but I always thought it was up to 6 weeks, to let it cure properly and let the moisture out so that the paint dosnt peel off, but that was in the UK where things do not dry anyway coz its always raining, bit like Adelaide, so I dont know why I wrote this really !!!

in "theory"you reach around 98% strength at 28 days (4 or so weeks) but you get around 70% strength within the first 24 hours. concrete literally continues to cure and gain strength months (years) ahead.

but good point on the cure though, might begood idea to make sure you give it a hose or lay some black plastic over it for the day or 2 (not too critical though since its indoors and protected from wind and sun)

typically 2 days till you can park on it and 6-8 weeks before you paint it so most of the moisture is out of it and the paint bonds properly to the concrete. Good luck!!:thumb

I'd recommend leaving it for a few weeks (3 or 4) as well Dave,
but then its all so dependant on temp/humidity/slab thickness/concrete strength etc anyways.
I know the slabs we pour (well, my troops do the pouring, I just watch) at work we leave for a few weeks before we try to seal them with paint and other goop.

depends on color on ur walls.

i always like the light ones for floors...that way u have half a chacne when the nuts rolls across the floor...

on the hand, really shows up the oil drips (which may or may not be a good thing)
