That's an OZ one about early 1964 with a dash from the p/b switch. The black plastic fill for the later "more reliable " switch was there untill they run out of old dashs maybe mid 64. Have a look at the column in the pic from "Frog" above. The German import had the key across the top of the column which incorporated the steering lock. Also the long armrests on front and rear sides. Dash moulded into trims on top of door pannels.

All OZ production T3s had that simpler ign switch. It must've been the Irish in me but the book back in 66-67 said that there was a steering lock and that had me occupied for a while untill I saw that the column was totally different! They were still better than the Beetles back then!!

Nice one Froggy its a 63 N German built , compliance plate will answer that, doubt that its an 'S' model i think someone has added the S on the back N models tend to have no chrome what so ever. Is it single or twin carb? Note the Fatter chrome in the window rubbers discontinued in 64, i think u will find the heater switch is the same as a 6volt beetle(tap style).
Also one of the only models that have the automatic seat locking divice!!!
