I have just spent weeks welding and respraying a 72 bay two tone Bahama blue and offwhite. Its crying out for some chrome trim to give it the classic look that it deserves........

Am definately interested....

Which chrome trim is it..... is it the one that runs all the way round, even the back? or just the stripes on the sides?

I had a 73 microbus, that had it all the way round and it sat right on the curvy bit under the windows..... looked awesome. I know there are a few different types.

Thanks

Photo's are here. http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/~surieaj/trim/

I have dug out that Aluminium Deluxe trim and have taken a few pics. To the best of my knowledge the trim is all there except the small bits as mentioned before. The trim has been taped together for a while and the sticky stuff has gone hard on the trim and would need light polishing before fitting (as you would anyway) There is only 2 or 3 dents that are not too bad and only 1 that would need a bit of attention. I would like $150 for the trim as is. If this is too exy i understand but am funding a project myself and need the splondoolies. Let me know what you want to do. You have first dibs before going to the general forum public. This trim is Aluminium and easy to fix if needed and came off a 68-72 bus.

does your bahama blue look like this?
I love that colour combo

I have a set of trim for sale too, if there's more than one set required.

Slow bay....

Haven't taken any photos as yet, will do when she is finished. Where you in Noosa a few weeks back? cause I saw another early bay in the same colours send us a photo!

I am getting my front beam lowered at the moment by Terry at Custom offroad in Brisbane, and I have got these very nice alloys off an eclass merc which I am trying to get to fit (needs spacers and longers studs but getting there) should look awesome when finished.. Kinda old school meets new school!

But I reckon it would look good with the trim.... I have already offerded Stealth $125 for the trim..... he turned me down, I reckon thats a fair price for a trim that isnt complete, needs repairing and has no clips, come on Stealth sell it to me!

vwtype2 - It was you that gave me the idea to spray it in the 1st place... remember? and yes its looks a lot like that..... I have emailed 56 ovaltine about that panel .... but no reply.....

Anyone need any spare dash boards or switches??? I have far to many......
