wife has a honda crv which has gearbox issues and i reckon that in 5 years my split will be worth more. Does anybody know how much a 67 split was worth new in 1967.

My dad bought two splitty dormobile campers in '67, both were under 6 months old. They cost him 275 pounds each.
He hired them out and they spent the next couple of years touring around Europe.
I remember travelling from the UK to Yugoslavia in one

wifes crv was crunching into 5th when over 60 ks, honda guys reved it to 3500 while standing and pushed it into 5th gear to shake the synchro around.

works fine now.

seems to be a standard procedure.

According to the Red Book, a 1967 split (I chose the 8-seater model) cost $2,771 new.

But I'm not sure how much I trust the Red Book for collectibles: it thinks a split is a Type 1, and it thinks it's current value is $700 - $1,500 :duh:

Look seriously volks a splitty is worth a lot more than people seem willing to pay, most people at some stage in thier lives have envied somebody with one , is there a vehicle with more charm ,I don't think so & as people become more passionate about them they will find themselves willing to pay a lot more for one
