I had to move it to the moderators section so direct your abuse at me if necessary.
Yes names were mentioned and it became abusive. I have U2Ued the author of the original post to let them know its been moved as common courtesy which I will always do.
It has not been "deleted", just moved for review....because when the $hit hits the fan and people start to threaten AVD with legal action (yes its happenned in the past) we are the ones that have to deal with it, so hopefully you can appreciate the moderators/administrators perspective.
Pending the review hopefully the relevant content can be moved back.

Is all this litigation phobia really necessary?.. Seems we are a bit sensitive.. Whoever wants to litigate over name calling must have very deep pockets.. Understand defamation etc but is this what it really is?

looks like I missed it all again.
Are we taking life and especially subjects relating to VW's a little too serious.
For christ's sake we are talking about a vehicle that was and is always going to be seen as, at the centre of the hippy revolution around the world, Love and Peace and all that.
Representing all that is laid back, chilled out fun loving.
It seems that at the slightest mention of something that could be controversial, people get upset and let fly.
Why not just take it on the chin and move on
It is a sad reflection of the days we live in, but at least VW drivers should be setting an example

Yes it is necessary....the forum has been threatened with legal action once before and we nearly lost it....we'd all loose out just because of hot heads who just need to learn to communicate a bit better if they are going to bring a dispute out in the open on a thread.... no names ever...no business names to be used...StenGuns wrote:Is all this litigation phobia really necessary?.. We have to take "threats" seriously when solicitors have to be brought into the equation. I know it is easy to say someone is making an "empty threat"....but when AVD has to obtain legal advice from a solicitor to save the forum, it is no longer empty. (doesn't relate to this instance)

As per your explanation we dont need this type of bullshit.
In my occupation I get threatened most days and I come on here to relax and have a laugh.
Some say I have a wierd sense of humour and some dont get me but hey we are all differant.
Only reason I wanted to know was I spent 20 mins putting a post on.
Good job I didnt post a pic of my bus, I might have been really pissed off if that had been deleted(yes I am joking , god dont you hate it when you have to explain ).
