if it's just stuck on the inside, heat gun will soften it, and/or razor blade would stripp it right off

Hi,
I only know ONE method....
single sided Razor blades... and lots of them as the tinting glue really blunts them...
Actually I took the tinting off My beetle, it had been there over ten years or more... and the tinting did come off, not that easily, but the film of glue is what caused the problem...
My Son tinted the wrong side of one of My windows about a month ago... and the tinting actually came off in one piece..
BUT... the darn glue... took a long time to get off.. with a razor blade.... or I should say 2 packets of razor blades...
How glue can blunt a razor blade I don't know...
Now I have the rear window to DE-tint...
NOT looking forward to it at all....
After the windows are re-tinted, You can take the tint and glue off in one sheet very easily for about a week.... after that... its very hard work....
Best of Luck....

"dipping the car in Acid" might just work...🙂🙂 too....

If you can get one corner unglued get some windex and a single sided razor blade. Spray the windex on the window under the edge of the tint and use the blade to scrape the tint off. the widex lubricates the blade and makes it a bit easier. Any excess glue can be cleaned off the window with some thinners on a rag or Wax & Grease remover.

Hope this helps.

I had to get all the tint off my T3 twin cab,
I waited for a rainy day, got all my kids to sit in the car so all the windows fogged up, and started peeling it off with a razor blade. then just pulled it off, most of it came off in big bits, even got the tint off the heated rear window without stuffing it, then just cleaned it up with a rag and some window cleaner.

takes about 20mins to do whole car with razor and tint glue remover,,can buy it from most auto shops,,,take the rubbers or door trims off to cause the glue will run sometimes, most tinters take the trims off to tint so have to see how far down the window the tint goes,,,if the tint is old and purple you might find that the tint comes off but the clear film doesnt, thats the hard part the clear when it comes away from the film..the tint has 2 sheets together the colour and the clear ..try to get both together to come off .so much easier....if its a rear screen with bars on the back buy a plastic razor blade that way u wont damage the demister bars...
