Ours is the same. I'm looking at filling the cracks and sanding it all back a bit and covering it with vinyl.

Would be interested to see what others are doing too.

If you strip and fill it yourself.... Restor a Dash at Revebsy will vacuum form a new skin in vinal for around 350 to 400 last time i checked.

bit expensive but they look great especially if you remove the speaker grill
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

Don't like your chances team, dashes in good nic are as rare as rocky horse droppings. I reckon the best you can hope for is to get change out of $300 from a dash doctor... at least you can choose the colour.

I would bhe interested in a new dash as well if the fibreglass come up good or someone can recommend a restorer.

Also could someone please give me a run down on how to remove a Type 3 dash.

I love 242HP sleepers. 🤪

How many sets of lights does it take a $229k Carrera S to learn? 😂 UPDATE: Cayman S, M3, B4 now added to the list.

Don't forget that there are 3 models of the type 3 dash: the early one which blends with upper trim on door, then the 64 - 71 which has different end sections when upper door trims were discontinued but retained the screws to hold pad near screen and the last model which clips into a "C" channel near windscreen. Which one do you have?

Its easier if you remove the windscreen

remove the chrome trim strip on the underside of dash there about 10 screws to be undo and then one at each end near the screen rubber

also remove the glove box and undo the panic handle
