my mate has a '89 pulsar vector. it has no tacho and we want to know how far we rev it. where do you install the lead? do they hook up to the distributor, coil or what?

also, would anyone know the redline of these vehicles? we figure around 6000, 6500 rpm. is this correct?

Im guessing it is EFI?
Mine was carby so its prob not much help to you.
Do a search. Its the same wire for every car you jsut have to locate it.
Use a Pen type test light and stick it in the wires. the one that flashed when idling thats the one you connect it too.
Very simple ive dont it a coupld of times.
First time i got a auto elec to do it. Found the wire and wired it to the tacho for $10.
Do a search on www.pulsar.org.au
