My Front High Back seats are a tad knackered and I would like to install some nice comfy seats from a modern car as I have a crook back (wish it was shaggers back, but no suck luck)

I don't want to have to go to great lengths to install new seats, so something that almost bolts straight in would be cool bananas, but also needs to be safe in case of an accident!

Is anyone aware of a seat that is an easy install and still allows passenger entry to the rear please let me know

Cheers
Johnno

I have heard that a lot of people use japanese 2-door front seats, some bolted to the current type 3 frames, others bolting the new seats and the frame they came in to the pan. the main thing to consider is the size of the bottom of the seat to ensure it fits within the space of the car and the space of the type 3 frame (if you will be using the stock frames). Unless I am wrong (which is possible since I have never done it) you need an engineering certificate for this mod to ensure the seat and the way it attaches to the car passes Australian standards.
