just got an email from a person that i bought a rhd bay kombi in germany that hes getting ready to list his 66 samba on ebay in 2 weeks.......if its a 23 window ill deffinatly be trying to get my hands on it before he lists it!!!...he knows the rough value but i think i could get lucky on this one...even if it is a lhd itsa still worth my while:thumb

thanks mate!i bought his 75 bay for 19.76 euros in germany believe it or not!!! so about 35 au$$$ for a more or less complete kombi minus engine but with all accecories.but hes responded to me and told me his plans so hopefully ill have a few photos by tomorow as i let him know that i was extremely interested.still have to find out if its a 21 or 23 window though....and hopefully its not a rust bucket but when he told me that he needs 2 weeks to get it ready then that sort of sounds like a promising project!!hopefully cheap😉 well cheap for a samba anyway....

i just got the photos and its a 21 window...more or less rust free with 2000 euros of new parts included and a mint engine..(thats probably why he needs the 2 weeks to put it together)the only thing bugging me is the sliding door???wernt they on late 67 or african or brazilian models???but besidedes that it looks like an original german 21 window...i would have offered him 5k if it wasnt for the doors..but if anyones interested then let me know as ill be seeing him before he lists it publiclly.andreas

i think that he will be handing out all of these photos via cd on the 1st so if your serious then you should get in fast as the splitty wont last long...if anyone is serious then u2u me and ill forward his email address.just say that you got if from the guy that bought the african bay....ps.he has 813 feedbacks on ebay with 99% pos(first time ive dealt with him)but he seems proffesionall and honest...hopefully ill be there for a look befor hanover were it will deffinatly be snapped up or even worse ebay...if i wasnt buying a split buy id personally consider this car but the only things turning me off is the spare tyre cut out and sliding doors....damm i can be picky!!!!😉
i will be riding a motorike from england to india and passing through germany some time in late may ,early june if your around then would catch up , i think some of the late splitties had a sliding door on them ,i remember seeing one on samba or vintage bus or some where
