Fleur backed the little beetle into a pole a few months ago and I have been deliberating whether to get a s/h one or a brazillian one and rechome it.

In the end I got the original bar that was bent and sent it to a bumper bar econditioners. I explained very clearly that I wanted it to be the original shape. No worries there, fits well

I said I don't mid so much if there are ripples in it as it is a daily driver, but chrome the thing properly, not wave it in the general direction of the bath.

I communicated what I felt was and was not acceptable. It is the only way to go, as they fixed it, give a guarantee on the chrome, and got a good price. Normally $180 + GST to repair and chrome, but he dropped a bit off because I was not asking for show quality.

Everyone is happy

Fitted it last weekend and it is good to see the beetle not looking so shabby. Fleur is happy too.

Koc looks good : ) saw him on the way to my sisters office awhile ago (which I think Fleur works near lol cause I see him all the time there)

Glad that he's all fixed now and not naked without his bumpers : )
