ok gurus

having a bit of trouble with one of my email accounts.

First of all - i run Norton Corporate. Other email accounts are ok.

We have Optus cable and it is the main account
There is 3 problems i seem to be having
1) i get repeat emails. Like 3 at the same time.Same email. Can be say from Otusnet them selves
2) having trouble deleting emails. I can do a block delete. I am slowly going over and over deleting my wifes huge back log.
3) I cant block some people. Se has a few friends that just send CRAP. and it crew up the email. But it sort of hangs when it goes throughh the procedure.

I rang tech help and they say it must be in the settings. I sort of agree as the other 2 accounts are fine. But stuffed if i know where.

Any one with any ideas???

Man you move down the list quickly!! :jesus

Anyway... i have found the "deleted item.dbx" file and have deleted it. And restarted Outlook.
Then i could get rid of the emails

Except.....

I have got rid of all bar 2 emails of hers.
I cannot get rid of these last 2.

It just keeps locking Outlook up.

Any ideas???

Is it Outlook 2003? I've had a few problems with this at work. Ended up ditching it and using another mail client. Try and get the latest updates from Office Update and see if it fixes the problem.

We've experienced delete problems at work. After scratching my head for a while when six or seven staff were having the problem I discovered this...

Do a Send/Receive when the action box opens be quick and click the Cancell All button.

You should then be able to delete...

why not try using the mozilla mail and web browser? or netscape mail and browser?

i used to use mozilla before i saw the light (macintosh :P) and i highly recommend it.
even my sister, who is not all that cluey about computers, uses it and it works great.

outlook is just like every other microsoft program... buggy, full of holes, and extremely annoying!
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

Use Outlook at work - only really any good when used with Exchange.

Though the best we ever used was Eudora. It is a real mail client, not something else which has had email adpated into it.
You can get it free with a little ad in the corner - full version isn't much.

Use a mix of Eudora, Outlook and a web-style interface at home.
