you will find the cam is not suited for a * car * its a industrial cam , you would need to split the case and change it out .
just ask brad
Looking for that special lady : PM me for coffee & cake

Mitch,
I just bought a couple more of these engines that came out of an army cool room. I already have 2 in my kombi's. These are the nearest thing you'll get to an NOS German engine, as they all have very low hours. You don't need to change the cam on the 126 motors I've got but these are 1600SP motors (not sure about a 1300 one!)
You still need a few things like a Flywheel, carby, dizzy and sometimes a fan housing and heater boxes if you want heating, but I've never had to open up a case.
Bonus for you is that they come with a Kombi muffler.
Here is a pic of one of the new ones I am getting.
Lastly most of the engines are single relief and have the small oil galleries so the cases are not really good for a hotted up motor. Perfect for a durable german stocker though!
Cheers
Steve
Looks like a magneto there!
What are these worth NOS??

Didn't know they made 1300 Industrial engines. I thought they were 1200 and 1600's.
According to the parts books, the cams are regular Beetle cams.
Got 4 x 36ers.
2 are NOS and 2 have 30 hours and are fitted with water pumps for fire engines etc.
I have been offered one that is NOS, 1600 SP plus mag for $2200.
STEALTH
buy it.......or if you don't want it....I'll buy it.
When you consider you can sell the magneto. How much does a set of new heads cost? New case? Barrels, pistons etc.
$2200 is reasonable.
Cool, Thanks

better not say i got 2 1200 low hours motors for the price of 2tanks of fuel and a trip in the country on a beautiful 45c day
40 HP mota's😉

hang on $2200 -------mick has brand new twin port engines for about that ,give or take a $100 or so and they have twin relief galleries and all the latest bits and they are so smooth when you gas one up ,not like an old rebuilt clunker at all;;.ring him to check price but i think im not far off and thats gotta be a lot better than a single port
Hey toplessbug,
Is that for new Volkswagen built engines? Or new built by mick engines? or rebuilt engines?
topless - there are some important differences.
Those imports are the last generation of Mex / Brazilian motors.
They are cast cranked fot forged is one of the main differences.
Also they are a bare long block - not a runner / turn key
Futue te ipsum!!!
They are Brand New from the VW factory, boxed up in a nice VW box. From Mexico from memory. And yes they are very nice, ALL brand new.

What do you get with a bare long block?
Does that have barrels, pistons, heads, manifold, carby, alt or generator etc?
Its Tappet cover to Tappet cover, so you need your tinware ALT, Carb etc.
