I dont really worry about that (WAAAHHHHOOO!!! in that engine).

but anyways, i plan to get a buggy with a 2.5 L engine, and probably with no experience (if i dont bother getting money to buy a cheap beetle, cause then it would leave me money for the buggy) in driving anything with less power. It will be a mad rush mate, and u will get the hang of her.

Just remember, the car is in ur control, it does not control u. (dad's advice, however, it was used in the matter of flying radio control airplanes, which are like cars but with wings)

enjoy mate.

Chris you driving a 2.5l buggy as a first car ( no licence yet?) isnt likely to happen, not unless you have alot of $$$.
Also with zero experinece and driving a car like that your an accident waiting to happen. Let me know when your dream comes true and i'll stay off the roads.

i got my learners and intend to get my P's in August. I will drive my parent's cars (cheaper for me lol), but will have no experience in driving a vee dub (except on the rare ocasion at my friends place). And don't worry, im not an idiot on the road, so keep ur pants on Dan. (note: matter of expession, not literal fact that he may have his pants down)

And i intend to get the buggy while im at uni. Its gonna be a 4 year project, hence funds will be able to be obtained while i work during those 4, maybe 5, years. Then exit out of uni with a good degree and a nice buggy.

Anyway, by the time i get my buggy, i would have 4 to 5 (6 including this year) years experience driving a vehicle as well as having an open licence (cause i will be over 20 by that time).

YEAHH!!! lol

10 points for feeling confident about yourself chris...

but minus several million for thinking that you arent an idiot on the road, when all you have is your learners and no driving experience.

dont fool yourself.

until you know what reality is out there on the roads, alone, in the dark, in fog, in the wet, with lanes of semi-trailers, kangaroos, and people running red lights, then you can come back and tell us that you arent an idiot on the road.

for now, i think its best you dont kid yourself that you are a good driver, because its usually the people that start out thinking they are good drivers who are the WORST drivers.
you have a lot of learning to do.
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

I mean, being an inconsiderate idiot (like deliberately speeding, hooning, being a jackass without considering the other drivers and pedistrians on the road)🙂

I know i have a long way to go till i become a good driver. But i wasn't refering i was a know-it-all (cause i can assure u im not), but i was refering that i wont be an idiot in the turns of driver consideration or doing stupid illegal practices. U know.

if you're not gonna be hooning and speeding, why the 2.5L engine?

back on topic.. I noticed a big difference when I went from the 1600 in my superbug to the 1600 in my oval.. 100-150 kilos difference I think. 1916 should be a sweet surprise, let us know how it goes 😀

If you can, get your hands on Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed - it is an accurate depiction of dirving a tail happy car. Honestly, it made me instinctly know what to do when your tail suddenly flicks out - in the dry! Not that I am condoning driving like a loon (maybe a hoon though 😉 ) if yo drive like a granny all the time, will you know what to do when you lose control of your car when you're not expecting it?

think about it..
