I have just bought a 71 to restore after just fullly restoring a 72
Lets say for arguments sake they are both Microbusses
This is a spot the difference without any pictures ....
Whoever can name the most differences between a 71 and a 72 is the winner

square rear lights, straighter profile of rear upper waistline(when llooking from behind), engine bay is larger, and has different licence plate light size, doesnt have wide 5s, didnt have deluxe chrome waist trim as option?,

and air intakes are more rounded on the 71 and it will have the removable rear valance, and gbox has no rear mounts that is if it was made before 9/71
and 71s already had narrow 5 wheels not wide 5s

the wiper control is on the dash and not the indicator thing??

i had a 72 and was a different set up, bit of a mix match, shame rearly as it was a roll over and got stripped

I hate to admit it, but man, I think you're right....

here's my '73.
high blinkers.
square tail lights.
square air intake vents.
square bumpers. original chrome.
factory deluxe trim
lhe accelerator linkage through the floor is different too. and is different again on 76+
Not bad guys....
A few mistakes and a few missed out.............
The accelerator linkage changed after the 72... so 71 and 72 the same
Bumpers and Emblem definaltely the same.... big metal emblem....
No one mentioned the petrol/gas flap.... its about a foot and a half towards the front of the bus
Will go out and look for more tomorrow!
Oh by the way.... anyone got any of the metal/chrome frames that go on the rear lights (round ones 71) mine are rusty....
Also anyone know where I can get a chrome curved body trim from or ..... bits of

the original lenses don't have the metal ring around them.
the silver colour is painted to the inside of the lens.
have got a set of deluxe trim, but I've already promised it.
But the metal holds the thing in place?? surely its original......
ummmmm will go out and investigate......
