Well the badge looks flat

The origional should be curved and fits up 58 or so they were on Ovals and from memory on some of the first 58 big windows.

They then changed to the Black n red badge

does it have the 2 tanges on the back so it attaches to the bonnet ??
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

Hmmm they were from early ovals up to '59 square window. How come it doesn't have the clear laminate on top? 🙂

It's the colour isn't it? I think I read somewhere that a specific year had all the different colours (counting them it seems like 5 if we count white) whilst the rest only had like 3 colours.

Is it something to do with the bottom row of white scrolley bit (the top picture looks longer)?
Or the green under the castle (in the top picture the green goes right across under the castle - but in the second (blurry) pic, appears to just be a triangle each side??

Did i win?

The tail is a different shape. It curves inwards more and is less triangulated than a "normal" badge. The chest on the dog is also different.

OK when I went to the Wolfburgh West catalog.....they had German reproduction and none German crests for 51 - 59

I'm having trouble posting the pics I copied from the site....but the German one the tail is curling in a bit.....the none German.... and tail more straight...

OK now I'm getting confused lol
