hey dave you can stand a coldie in the bell housing whilst removing the seal !!! tap a srewdriver or similar at a20 degree angle try to bend the metal of the seal at the same time eg twist the srew driver..its hard at times but you will get the hang of it...use a std 1600 bug tailpipe the nice smooth end to tap the new seal back in..job done know what i mean..the beer should now be empty? cheers dsk steve

Opps I thought i read the selector shaft seal.

yeah you can do the input shaft without removing the gearbox, and not spill a drop of beer.
