I heard a good comment on channel 7 this morning, comparing the old to the new. The old told jokes, the new make tables and fix backyards.

Bring back the old days.

a very sad day for australia 🙁

didnt get to see much of his shows when i was growing up, but the ones i did see were an absolute cack!! this guy was so funny!!

i especially liked the way he would start laughing before he told a joke... kind of a giveaway, but at least it got you prepared.

comedy nowadays just isnt funny :/
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

I still love comedy...it's just so different now but there is some really good stuff around ...but a lot of rubbish as well

rove is the stupidest interviewer ive ever seen & the king of corn
gra the first & best one liners ever, the best comedian ever, the
best commercial promoter ever,the best presenter of a joke with
two meanings ever, the greatest loss to aust tv to date etc etc.
if he was on tv now exactly as 20/30 yrs ago it would be the highest
rating show in aust now, unfortunately the crow call stubbed his time
on his tonight show.
hopefully they will have the sense to replay some of his work my kids
would love it, long live his memory
ahh the commercials, i remember the dog food heres a man that taste
test first (classic)

He was so talented and will be missed, I went see him on coast 2 coast, what a hoot. Channel 9 are doing a special on Friday night and you can buy a DVD.
