ratty 63 wrote:Oh no! It's State of Origin number 1 tonight - One of the three busiest nights of the year for people in my line of work (I'm a cook/manager of a Pizza deliver business). The other two busy nights are....Origin game 2 and 3!
Fantastic - a night of all 5 phones ringing the minuite that we open the store requesting that their food be delivered exactly 30 seconds before kickoff, then arguing with us when we tell them that it won't be possible due to the fact that there are already a dozern other deliveries that have to be there at that time. Then as the night progresses the drunks start ringing and getting upset because there is a 2 hour delay on deliveries. Worse still, once the game is over, we get the upset and drunk footy fan (upset because their team lost) ringing to complain about the food/service/time delay/temprature of the drinks/:blah. Add to all this the fact that half my staff won't turn up becuase they want to watch the game and those who do won't want to be there because they are missing the game/after-party and I think you can see what sort of night I am looking forward to tonight.
...those of you in Qld or NSW looking to order Pizza tonight as part of the 'Origin Experience', be prepared to wait quite some time for it - regardless of who you order it from. If you are not interested in the State of Origin, perhaps you should look at visiting a restaraunt as there will be nothing else on TV and most restaraunts will be empty - but avoid the Pub!
Good luck and GO WHOEVER - I really don't care who wins...
....and you think I am in a bad mood now - wait until 1am tomorrow when I am still trying to put my store back in one piece after the hammering that we are going to get tonigh..
