Dropped spindles, adjusters, narrowed beam and spacers for me:

Simply Cruzin'...
I've got spindles... but it's never low enough is it? :blush

I had caster shims on my 64 when I lowered it, with adjusters only. Ended up about 3 inches lower than stock & the steering was heaps better with the shims, it actually stayed in a straight line instead of wandering everywhere. Didnt need longer bolts onto the framehead, I think you only need em when using 2 sets of shims.
Put in a new steering box while I was at it & the front finally worked as it should have, it was scary taking it thru the hills before i fixed the front end

some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch
when you push them down the stairs
Has anyone got a CB beam narrowed with adjusters straight as they come from them?
Thinking of getting one but want to know about imports and duty, freight.
Thanks

C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.
Can some explain to me the point of Narrowed beams, I get a bit lost on this one :duh. I Understand what Dropped Spindles and adjuster are... Looking at these for our Splitty :thumb
Cheers
Joel
as you go lower, the wheels rub on the lip of standard guards. by narrowing the beam the wheels sit more nicely up into the guards stopping them from rubbing. It can ridiculous though.
Igor's got adjusters but doesn't need the spindles
Let me out, When I call my name
IGOR is ALIVE !!!! 😎
PeteWood
i have got the drop spindles and the narrowed beam and i still rub on the lip of the guards and also on the inner guard aswell.

proper preparation prevents piss poor performance
narrowed beam, narrowed tie rods, narrowed torsion leaves, adjusters and CB dropped spindles.
