A question on changing the fan belt. How do you stop the generator pulley from turning? I have actually managed to stop it,and already changed the belt, but am curious how to how others do it? In the book i have, it says to put a screwdriver in the notch cut-out in the back pulley half, and lock it it the notch on the generator housing........well i do have the notch in the pulley, but there certainly aint no notch in the generator housing! I jammed a screwdriver in the back pulley, and held it as best i could while undoing the pulley nut, and managed to get it. How do you guys manage to hold the pulley?

Oh, what size belt is usually used, 1600cc, '71 bus..?
