Can anyone tell me what the Germans call each of the following VW models - trying to create an ebay ad in German, but struggling a tad 😉

Beetle is a "VW Kaefer"
Type 3 is a "Typ 3"
Kombi is a "VW Bus"
The word "Combi" is used for station wagons in Germany.
no kombi doesnt mean wagon variant means wagen and that is not limited to vws
kombi refers to buses that could be converted from passenger to cargo by removing seats you can still by a t4 kombi today even in australia it is much more basic than a carravelle and better too plus cheaper (think KOMBInation!! eg combination vehicle:thumb)

I have a mechanic friend who calls the bus a 'nut bucket' He will get a shock when the EJ22 engined bus blows his smokeblowing Pintara's doors off. 🙂
If you want to really impress, try spelling Kaefer as Käfer. To get the ä you hold down the alt key with your left hand while typing 132 over on the right (using that funny block of number keys you never normally use for anything). Then let go of alt. You can get a ü with 129. Unfortunately on some sites, like Hotmail and this one, the numbers for other german characters also do wierd things to the screen. But usually 148 gets the umlauted o, or oe, and 225 gets the B-shaped double s. And for some reason 206 makes a little Balkenkreuz!:thumb Of course, computer-literate people can assign these things to the Function keys at the top of the keyboard to avoid all the digital gymnastics - apparently.
