Hey everyone,
I need advice as to which beetle i have to sell,
#My original intention was to sell my 67 Beetle. There is a pick of it in the topic "Superbeetle" in the 4 sale section. This one has been repainted in 2 pac Ford galaxy blue.I chromed the gearstick, glovebox, the metal surrounds around the speedo, the fuel cap and bumper bar brackets. It's got a 1200 that's now tuned to perfect. Also there is a neat aftermarket steering wheel.PROBLEM, this broke my heart. After adjusting the valves(the car was jacked up), i started it and i had a smile.Jacked it down with the wheels on.Started it from the outside and it Kangaroo jumped IN THE BRICK WALL! Now i have to get it repaired....
#1972 S Bug-It's a 15 mil limited edition one. It's original except for the seats which have no rips.5 months ago, brand new heads and new piston/barrel kit was installed by my mechanic. It's got extractors but otherwise standard. It goes great for a standard 1600.I got the starter motor rebuilt. With regards to rust there's none visible but the previous owner has done some repairs. The repaired sections are-i'll let you guess(a place on all s bugs). The colour is Honey Brown which i recently got a re-spray(4 months ago). It's going to have 12 months rego as of the 16/6.
I haven't put a price on them.I'd value your opinion.I'm leaning on the S bug-but it handles better,is rarer, and the engine is bigger/better.I'm stuck so id value you guys opinion. Thanks

sell the one with the good brakes ,good handling, bigger engine and 12 volt elctricals and keep the old klunka cause it looks cool
Sorry to hijack, but I am looking at a 72 super this weekend, how do you tell if it is a 15mil limited.
Keep the super if its a daily driver, the 67 if you want a show car.

Hi Brett,
The 15 mils have a big badge of a beetle with a limited number printed on the glove box. From there you would check the chassis number and engine number and see if it matches.
they were made in the middle of 72 so about june from memory. my first one was a month or 2 off being one but now has a 15th million body ive aquired

im a bit of a pre 67 beetle fan myself, but the 15th mil one would be a treat that not many would aquire..

id go the 15th million cause they are different ie they have a different speedo to the normal 72 sbug and some extra trim. also will be collectable in the future but all bugs are

so true...
Anything after a wide five beetle was designed by bean counters and safety officers. Might as well buy a N.B after 1967 (NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT) Thanks Seinfeld. 😉
