Hello

I am a fan of special edition and coachbuilts. I do not know the history of australian(s) coachbuilt(s).

In my country (Belgium), we have the Apal Coupé, the Zelensis.

Which coachbuilts were created in Australia?

Only the Ascort?

Do you have information about Ascort (history, pictures, technical informatio, what it worth, ...) Other models ?

Was in pieces but all there and in VERY good condition.
Was thinking of doing it myself - but would have need a bit more space than i could offer

He gave me a lot of info and pictures. If you like i could scan it all and email it to you.

There is a picture of one here

Re: information on the Ascort available, i may be able to contribute, as well as would love to see any information i may not have.
I have an ascort 1959 model car number "31" (yes they only built maybe 19, but they all appear to be odd numbered)

Cheers

Bizarre:
I need to have 5 postings before my U2U works > I would like to get a burnt copy of the info you have, and also post the info i have. Can i offer my email address?

VWCool:
If the Porsche specialist where you saw the Ascort at is in Hornsby, it's my car. This vehicle has taken two years to get to this stage and is probably a couple of months away from completion.

Regards

Starkey - Ascort car number 31
