i went to jump in my baja to drive home from work tonite and noticed that my drivers side front wheel is missing one of the nuts. so its holding on by 4. the thread is almost gone in that hole in the drum. its been a pain for a while so it must have come loose and fallen out.
does anyone in the caloundra area have a wheel nut i can grab for a couple of bucks.

I replaced a Brake drum once because of that.
The threads in the Drums have a habbit of stripping.

You could try putting it in with Locktite. thats what I did for a while.

yeah i was thinking loctite cast alloy and steel bolts arent exactly a good recipie for lasting threads.

PS the only way to fix this properly if the thread is gone is to helicoil the brake drum.
I had this happen a couple of times on my 67 when the gorilla's at the tyre place didnt have the torque set properly on their rattle guns and rooted three brake drums - and had the cheek to blame it on the drums !
yeah i went and got one from wayne at buderim today. ive got a brake drum i can use to replace the bung one. ive also got a spare car with wide 5's on it but its all an hour away and i didnt warrant driving an hour for 1 nut. ill replace the drum when i can be bothered lol.
