last night (after going to a party and then to the movies), i emerged at 11.30pm to be greeted by a 69 single-cab kombi ute.
i was like..hello hello..don't see these round geelong.
so i wandered over, it's been lowered, mechanically restored, and lowered...(and is about to be dropped another 3 inches!)
lo and behold, a guy comes out from the pub. his name's chris..he owns the pub and the mobi is his work ute. bought it from sydney..and is about to do it up. (i realised he was a vw guy when i saw the empi ball on the aerial)
and get this..he's not only a vw member, but he's on the forum as well.

no, not penguin and the icelandic one. Its just that all my mates are married or such and they aren't really into heading into town for a concert (I was hoping to go to Stereophonics in the Valley tomorrow night) and I thought she might. Sheesh, almost as sad as the Byron Dubfest comments!
Anyways the temp up here was COLD!!!!!! got up to a stunning 14 degrees today, but they have told us to expect frost tomorrow! FRACK! this wasn't meant to happen in QLD, if I wanted to be cold I would have asked to stay in Sydney or gone to Canberra.
Anyways, the gearbox has left the house and is in the hands of a professional (can anyone else say 'I don't trust myself with that many little fiddly bits?'). I may have lined up (well, somone else lined them up, I just pay for them) a set of porsche mangels for rims on the oval, depends on state of rims and if I can get out there tomorrow. So the car is progressing, I just have to check how his shell is going at the panel beaters now.

current job has job security and and is fairly close to home...same postcode even andis a huge company but have been working on same aircraft for 10 years.
Other employer is relatively new on the seen but is growing and has the backing of current employers rival..also has some pretty neat prospects plus i would run one particular depaetment...however have to drive along 4 of the worst roads in Bris. and its twice the distance

hey penguin, thor has last exam on sat morn, she has just moved into a new flat, so she has been having to cram/move/avoid distractions etc.. I am hoping to head up and suss out her new digs on weekend probably.. (old man's boarding house with shared bathroom and kitchen and lotsa cocroaches, she said that aint so bad, it's more the constant coughing and urine smell of the winos in the halls which she finds the most distracting) :P
