No the 60's roofs are smaller,
For a '54 beetle you will need a 3 fold roof.

If you want an origional roof its 3 folds plus the 4 corners are square not round. the last one i saw for sale was in the US and they guy wanted $1000 USD for it ... whic hwas about `10 years ago,,, so there probally asking around $2000 for them nowdays.
I saw some later ones 56 on there the other week... and they were asking around $500 each
just as vw54 mentioned there are 3 types of 3 fold rags..the full square type(up to 55 with heart tailights)then up to 57 with 2 round corners and 2 square and then the rounded edge rag...ive seeen 2 pre 55 rags sell on ebay germany in the last 6 months,one for just under 400 euros and the other connected to a project 54 for 1010 euros...(plus a mate over here sold his complete rust free 54 with an extra original clip that he was going to install for 1500...very cheap...)but the normal price in germany for a pre 55 3 fold is 500 euros...(not dealer..)find out about freight from here and check out ebay.de for "vw faltdach"....
just went on germanys biggest vw website and found about 30 pre 57 complete rag cuts ranging from 80-250euros plus a 1950 split rag cut complete and in good nick for 750eurosOBO(like you need) if your still interested let me know and ill post it on the forum how to find this link...(might have probs with the language though...)if your not willing to pay 500-600 euros for one then just post a wanted ad on that site as youll probably get a better deal...but you should inquire about shipping..hope that helps

KDF Ive always herd about this style 2 round n 2 square but ive never seen one fitted to a car.
My 56 has the 4 round corners n its a June 56 build model
they where made for about 1.5 years ill try to find out the exact months(they were a crossovermodel)....they are by far the rarest ragtops but as you know not the most sought after or expensive...personally if i were after a rag for a 54-55 bug id just get a pre 62 round edged 3 fold as its not going to be original anyway.....different story if i was going to put one in a pre52 split...but i personally wouldent do it as it wouldent be original....ill find out about the round/corner 3 fold vw54..
did you see the 2 split cabs on ebay.de???looks like it really is raining split cabs this month???
