Hi,
I recently changed my fuel filter over aswell as the 2 short bits of hose going to the carby and from the fuel pump.... now sometimes when I stop at the lights the car will just conk out / die completely and ill have to pump the pedal and restart it... any ideas what it could be... the host and fuel filter are brand new so has to be something strange...
Thanks

same thing happens to me, and i also just replaced the fuel filter!!! crazy shit. It happened when i would engine brake then push the clutch in and it would slowly die, seems like a fuel starvation thing but if i give it a tap on the accelerator when it starts to die then its fine...

perhaps an idle jet problem? if ur fuel filter was super clogged up perhaps the engine is flooding and u need to back off the fuel mixture screw? just an idea. im not really sure

yeah, had a think about it last night. If the engine is revving without using much fuel (engine braking down a hill) then the fuel pump will pumping fuel as normal even though it isnt needed and there may be a problem with one of the jets and thats letting the engine get a bit too rich and stalling it.
