My speedo is siezed up! It used to work but squeak, then one day it stopped working. I've taken the speedo apart and discovered that the spinning magned doesn't spin at all: it's completly frozen. Is there any way I can get it spinning again?

(And because the speedo was stuck, the cable got too twisted up and snapped, so I'll have to replace it)

you may need to:

(a) pull the magnet out (assuming it comes out), clean it up, spray it with wd40 (or similar) or

(b) get another magnet. but i don't think you'll be able to get a individual magnet, you may just have to replace the whole thing.

It doesn't come out, it's well & truly stuck. I might try soaking it in petrol, if that doesn't loosen it I might have to take it to an instrument place... but then again a second-hand speedo from a wreckers might be cheaper.
