There could be money to be made...

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A Russian astrologist who says NASA has altered her horoscope by crashing a spacecraft into a comet is suing the U.S. space agency for damages of $300 million, local media reported on Monday.

NASA deliberately crashed its probe, named Deep Impact, into the Tempel 1 comet to unleash a spray of material formed billions of years ago which scientists hope will shed new light on the composition of the solar system.

"It is obvious that elements of the comet's orbit, and correspondingly the ephemeris, will change after the explosion, which interferes with my astrology work and distorts my horoscope," Izvestia daily quoted astrologist Marina Bai as saying in legal documents submitted before Monday's collision.

A spokeswoman for a Moscow district court said initial preparations for the case were underway but could not say when the hearing would begin. NASA representatives in Moscow were unavailable for comment.

excuse me, but the gas that has come from your mouths while you so very heartily laugh has changed the composition of the earths atmosphere, therefore causing the sunlight to get trapped in longer, which has in turn made the earth move closer to saturn.
this throws out my whoreoscope, and now i cannot figure out where i left my spare brain.

im going to sue all of you... every single one of you :P
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

Personally, I take it as an insult that the Americans would spend millions of dollars just to see if they can crash something into a comet. What happened? Did they grow out of blowing up peoples letterboxes with fireworks?

it has to be said... with all their other attempts to land 'softly', at least they wanted to crash something into it..

Does she pay the legal cost if she looses :duh

I do believe in astrology to some extent....hey I'm a Sag....but don't rule my life by it like some fruit loops....so many other things have more influence and we also have the ability to control who we are...hopefully our negative aspects 👍

I can just see the "objectives" column now...

They've got "sucessfully land" crossed out and "crash" pencilled in above it so that they can say that they acheived their objective, after realising that they stuffed it up again

guys, they have been waiting on this mission to tempel1 for years now... going to shed some light on comet composition, formation and info on the early solar system...
dont knock it! id prefer they spent millions of dollars crashing a probe into a comet than blowing other countries up.
