Chris,
Buy one of those little gas burners from BigW or K-mart for $19 that use the disposable gas canisters. Cheapest way to go, and your not carrying around a gas bottle in your cabin, or cutting a hole in the side of your kombi to mount a gas cylinder cabinet.
You can buy a little metal frame griller with a gauze element from a camping shop that will toast your bread for about $5 too. Works great with the gas ring burner above.
