I have just had my wing mirror part company (just before a rego check), the actual mirror has come off the chrome arm. Its off the 69 bug, the entire setup is a slim chrome arm and a basic chrome mirror.
In the mirror itself there is now a piece rattling around inside. Does anyone know if these things can be repaired (eg mirror removed, chrome pieces mated back and re-attached, mirror replaced), or whether it is now stuffed?
I thought to myself how it could be welded, until I realised it needs to be movable to adjust the mirror setting.
Do I just discard it and buy another one? Or can I fix it? Thanks.
