Excuse my ignorance... Would that fit an Oval tank? And the output voltage be correct to run a 1970s model Beetle speedo fuel gauge?

It would fit an oval tank with the correct size hole cut. You would have to make up a threaded adapter plate for the inside of the tank. I dont know if it would be compatible with a VDO guage. Will try it out on one I have here over the weekend for you.

Hey Dean, I am having problems calibrating the sender on the 356 guage so if you don't get a sale for this one, I wouldn't mind trying it on the 356 guage to see if it reads any better than the one I have.

Have tried it on Beetle square fuel gauge doesnt seem to work with this one. Dunno if the gauge is crook or what?

Raf, tried it on my Porsche guages in the T34 and it works great. The sender also has the extra circuit for the low fuel light!!

Pretty sure it will work with any smiths gauge. Thinking that it for a early Jag or something with the extra circuit for the low fuel light.
