She goes well as she has a 1916 behind, counter weighted crank, ratio rockers, 44mm webbers. Sounds great when you give it a bit.

Looks very similar to something that was around about 15 years ago. Was in FF&R, but can't put my hand on the mag. Nice score all the same.
No Byronbus didnt ask any one, we found this one in carsales.com.
Yes Squizy the owner showed me pics of vw in mag.had a few more things done since then.
Great stuff Rose. It really has been well looked after then considering that's at least a 15 year old restore you've got. Damn it still looks soooo good.
Nice!
I thought I would throw some wheels and new stance to show potential. Think outside the square. Maybe a set of 16" GT40 wheels?

C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.
Very nice indeed - that will provide many happy miles of motoring for you I am sure!
turbo54, you are a very naughty boy, giving people ideas like that...That said, the wheels look awesome. 😁
Yes squizy it is in very good nick, been kept under raps in his garage, he didn't want to sell it but after having it for 20 years he's just lost interest etc children & family things. He likes boats now.
Ohh man he will soon get sick of those, bad move swapping an Oval for a boat. The best time of owning a boat is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Those things are money and time pits!

Dials are cool. Although those other wheels are pretty nice too. How about some gasburners 🙂

The lovely red oval came from a bloke at Acacia at Sydney he had it for the past 20 years he was reluctant to sell. We have spoken to him this week and he said can I buy it back his wife said no way. Anyway we are not going to sell it. See you all at Sawtell.
The coloured one happened to end up this way as it had fibro guards bonet and engine lid so we where able to pick up metal guards as they where available we didn't pick coulours just got what was around at the time. Will be painted one colour one day but someone will probably beet me to it that is the colour as I was going to paint it hot house green but someone beat me to it. Have another colour in mind now.nn[ Edited on 13-8-2005 by rose ]
