i have a type 3...

and it's running! it has a new battery..and i vacumned it out today...and we took it for a drive and pumped up the tyres..ooo the 1800cc is such a beast. disc-breaks..1800cc motor...light as hell car...and so much space under the arches...

when are you free kafer :P?

1964 type 3 notch. the original 1400 in it was taken out (by dad) and put under the bench here at home, caus it wasn't powerfulk enough. it's now an 1800, with disc brakes..

we are the 2nd owner..it had less that 8000miles on it when dad got it (years and years ago). it's had one owner, that imported the car, was an old lady! it was a deceased estate vehicle. so it's fully imported, RHD and sooo nice!

Or you can use my (stolen) idea of making it look like the rat patrol.

Hi guys the chromers rang me yeaterday to say all my bits are done.When they said" give us a couple of weeks " I was expecting to have to call them in afew weeks & hassle them to havre them done but they were really quick ,it only took 11 days.Now i just have to find some time to go & pick them up.Can't wait to see them.😁

hey kafer..

dad wants to know where he can get... a new/ reco type 3 gear box, and a complete type 3 exhaust kit...he doesn't like driving it around with the loveable cracklely sound.. and the gear-box is old and needs replacing. i had a look on mick-motors.. but didn't really find what i was looking for. i figured you'd be a good person to ask.

Not sure about whats for sale in Vic Zac. Maybe start your own post and ask the question.

Don't know whether you want a standard system or extractors. If you want extractors, I bought my thunderbird extractors from Micks. I think any reputable VW shop should stock them. As for the g'box I think you'd need to ask around. I'm guessing it's swing arm. I'm not sure about the interchangeability with beetles.
