Have never seen any spliities on the coast before but yesterday spotted two! One was a 21 window at erina fair carpark and the other was on the back of a tow truck going over Toukley bridge

Jak are you a local? Hook up with us below for some cruises if you're interested. 😎

There's a few splittys around...most awaiting restoration. I saw a blue and white one about 6 weeks ago, and of course a few more at the Avoca surf classic.

I remember that beetle in the Toukley soccer club car park (I was there for my son's U12 game). I wasn't in my 1302 with my stash of pre-printed tags so I had to write on a piece of paper.

Jaksc, your beetle is one of the cleanest and most tastefull restos I have ever seen.

Unfortunately I am unable to attend on Sunday :-(

Regards

Brendan

Thanks brendan,
It has been a daily driver since 96 when we restored it so it is starting to show signs of wear. Concentrating on a 59 split bus at the moment so the beetle is a bit neglected. I have the opposite problem to a lot of aussieveedubbers members that it is my wife that is into vw's and i only do the work to keep the peace. She is always at me for more vw's.
