We sell stuff to 'The Dashboard Doctor' in Coburg.
Imagine a guy with a dashboard on an operating table. Doctor's coat on, scalpel in one hand, vinyl glue in the other.
Then imagine a couple of hours later a dashboard on a bed in the recovery room, all reconditioned, waiting to be discharged the next day 🙂

It was a pretty brutal burnout pad actually. It was really rough concrete and had a heap of rubber already on it. I have other pics, but you cannot see anything at all in them except smoke, so not very interesting.
After about one and a half minutes, with the speedo sitting on 100kph I had to stop as the auto started slipping and I didn't want to hurt it, as I had a fair drive home.

and yeh, those arre the ones kafer..i got a quote a while back and it was under $250 to restore it...i thought that was pretty reasonable..caus mine is cracked in two spots near the heater vents..

speaker me thinks man :alien
if the dash is craked in a area that should be flat take the dash out put some gap filler in there (the expanding type) then when dry file flat then finish by skimming witrh body filler ir trim opver with a material :sandrine
thats my useful tip 4 the day lol

The dash in a type 3, there are some holes etc in the centre, I think its a speaker grill, but Zac thought it was a heater vent.
we started talking about getting them repaired and that where we are up to now 🙂

Ok...here is my grand plan for my notch dash.
Remove dash pad....smooth dash but not in a way that will prevent a dash pad from being put back on....make 3 aluminium bezels to fit behind the guages and paint same colour as car.
I have the bezels made but just not the time or money to get the dash smoothed.
