Is it a twin outlet one? Coz I've got one of those already - and the pipes are half dumping onto the bottom of my rear valance.. which is my problem..

hey chris you will probably need a tailpipe to go with it and run the exhaust out the side. The split ones turn pretty sharp, but the outlet is almost the same except there is only one. I have a s/h split one if you wanna try that before buying the new one to make sure the plan works.
P.S. have still been lookin for a manifold, gotta search the garage at home for ya!

Hey Andy
I nearly forgot to ring you back about the manifold! I'm considering geting extractors if it makes fitting easier, but I'm keeping my options open.. can yo email me pics of what it looks like coming out of a split? What kinda tailpipe is you talking bout?

Cheers

i take it that exhuast comes out from the left coz the heat riser dumps into the l/h side of the muffler?

This is the 40hp kombi exhaust. The dampening baffle is in the long tailpipe piece which goes into the muffler.nn[ Edited on 8-8-2005 by ab ]

There is some local extractors from QLD I think, they come in 4 pieces and are fairly tight, that sit up and close to the motor and away from your valance. I fitted some to an L Bug recently. I think the customer ordered them from Midas or something. Then had a hide away pipe custom made. Had heaps of clearance, which you will need when you lower that thing???
