jsut wondering why you kombi owners out there dont wave to us beetle owners ont he road,some do but alot dont,why is this? i know that type 3 owners wave all the time,but kombis hardly ever seem to?

funny 'bout this, now I have both, most Kombi owners wave to the 54 beetle,
most early beetle owners wave to the kombi most later beetle owners ignore both
some type 3's wave

I cheered to a beetle as it drove past, screaming and fisting into the air. Yeah, i'm crazy, but I'm sure the beetle owner would have appreciated the praise.
And i wasn't in a dub as well, just walking up a hill to school at 6.30am (tutoring early in the morning.)

i have a 68 beetle and a 75 kombi so i wave to anything aircooled to show solidarity. the kombis wave back and the beetles sort of give a stunned gesture with the hand as we hurtle past each other. there seems to be a growing number of beetles in the bega valley and i'm starting to get rsi so i've promoted the kids to chief waver - they've got better eyesite and so can spot them reversing out the driveway at 100 paces round a corner.
i remember one hot summer driving thru narooma and having my arm resting on the window ledge, spied a kombi driving toward me, waved with my arm out the window, he in return did the same and there was that faint touch of comaraderie as we drove past. (we were in town so we weren't going too fast).
i plan to live forever.....so far so good.

It's one of the Wolfsburg Kommandments....some VW owners look down on others....it's all about height. We Kombi folks have an altitude all of our own. If we're not looking down, we just might not see ya. Or may be becuase if I wave at Bus, I know they gonna wave back ... but it's not really a wave, its more of a finger lift and a nod. It's all very subtle.
But I'll give it a go....so if you see a poo-brown 72 micro waving at you in yer Beetle, it's not just cause it's on fire this time.....
I did wave at a Kia Carnival once, well it was more of a point followed by a laugh.
