Flasher unit help.

I have just purcheased a new flasher unit for my beetle.On the old unit the terminals where marked +,s,k on the new unit the terminals are marked 49a,49,13.I have looked at all charts I have and the only thing I have discovered is that 49 is + and 49a is output.Can anyone help me out on this one.Save me from stuffing around to get it right.cheers D

Going by My book.... Aussie one all other 11 are USA electrical system...
15 is ignition....
K goes to dash indicator lamp
56 goes to the blinker switch...
