Rod Farrell's is certainly one of the well known ones. Beautiful, older restoration that still looks like it was done yesterday. That black one Barry I remember was on a late model floor pan. I remember there was a red and white one being restored at the 1990 Nats, but I've never seen it since. Mark Holyoaks....and I'm sure Ray Black has one hiding somewhere.lohoon wrote:I know of a very original 51 model that wins trophys every time its shown. It even has its own room in the house.Yes thats not a garage but a room with carpet and some display shelves with model cars on them.Rod (the owner) once told me there were twenty eight in Australia. There are probley more than that now seeing as they have been importing a few and it was about ten years ago he told me this figure. He also told me he got this number off some early beetle register. So there are possibly ones that weren't on the register.

Ray's probably got split beetle number 1, just having a split beetle would'nt be rare enough.....lol.....Ray has some seriously great cars and a bloody nice bloke too. Not sure AVD is Rays' bag though...squizy wrote:Rod Farrell's is certainly one of the well known ones. Beautiful, older restoration that still looks like it was done yesterday.
