Has anyone fitted one of these into a beetle? I am sure it has been done but just wondering how hard it will be.

get Littles or someone in to do it properly. They do a mobile service.

i have been quoted up here in Brisbane around the $40-70 to put a bolt into a bettle. it is a fairly easy job the bolt just goes thru the tear fire wall.

Ok thanks guys. I was hoping there may have been a couple of fastening points under the trim. I do not want to take chances and I could quite easily do it myself but I think I will go with the pro fitting.

I went to our local pro and he showed me how to do it myself. You will need to drill through under the rear window into the firewall. So long as you use the appropriate bolt and washer size, you will be ok. I then took it back to them, and they gave it a tick.

Ring RACQ or Queensland transport to make sure you dont have to get it engineered. Get a pro to do it no matter how good someone reckons they can do it as insurance and your kiddie seat are a careful mix. Centre is meant to be the safest spot but sides have more clearance if a rollover.....
