ok, winters still here and the rain is still coming, and my 66 beetle has presented itself with yet another battle :P

while my wipers are on (on there wonderful one speed) after two or three strokes back and forth the passenger side wiper "lays over" on its up wipe stroke.. thus stopping the motor in turn from continuing wiping, really quite dangerous. While the car is stationary with a gentle push it is possible to "pop" the siper back to its position.. and turn back on the wipers as if nothing has ever happened...

but sure enough after two or three strokes it lays over again..

I cant seem to see why... has anyone had this problem? has anyone got any ideas?

maybe try unbolting the wiper arm and put some plumbers tape on as a shim (temporary fix)

is the arm tight enough on the wiper spindle that moves it could be loose and also u might need new wiper blades as therubber sounds like its had its day.

Also check the spring tension in the wiper arms to the screen they should have some resistance, in being pulled away from the screen.
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true
