hey another question, can you change the axles from a swing axle into an irs box. i have heard that you can as long as the side plates are the same bolt pattern. has anyone done this because i have a 1300 box and the ratio is not good for a 1776 with lightened flywheel, even on huge off road tires.

what do you mean the ratios are bad. do you mean too low or too high. I suspect you mean too high, and the answer is using a kombi box, which means changing the whole rear end or getting Ron Lummus Racing bus to swingaxle kit. Think $$$$$$.

I'd suggest getting smaller tyres, cheaper and it will ensure better acceleration.

just wanna no if you can get a 1600 irs box and put the swing axles onto it, will the ring and pinions match up or will it never fit.

If your old tranny is an 8 bolt crownwheel, then the 1600 crownwheel will bolt up to the swingaxle carrier...just make sure your backlash is within spec.
Keep the crownwheel with its original pinion if that was on your mind.
As long as the bolt patterns are correct, yes, a IRS can be converted to swing.
Superdiffs have both bolt patterns.

so will that give me ratios that are going towards top speed more than acceleration or will it stay the same???
