Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if there is a way of installing a 40hp Judson on a Karmann without cutting the rear decklid? Is there anyway the standard filter could be used?

Any pics / drawings etc would be really helpful.

Dont think there is a way as its pretty tight in there, everyone ive seen has had the lid cut and the special Judson scoop used to cover the hole

I think the carb just (bee's dick) misses but the judson filter sticks up about 5 inches I havn't ordered the judson yet as I really don't want to cut the lid.

yeah the Kombi air cleaner neck would work if you can find one

Cheers guys, does anyone have the exact dimensions of a judson so I can make a template and do a final check before ordering.

The trumpet kind of suits the style too!
