Hi. Myself and my dad have built a Baja and we want it to look like Herbie. What is the width of the white,red, and blue stripes. Cheers Will.

Dunno the width of the stipes, but I think that the typeface is in the Futura family - I've noticed that some folks with Herbie decals use Univers or Helvetica which is far more geometric. Sorry, but the wrong font in Herbie themes is a pet-hate of mine. I think that it won't be critical to match the width mm perfect, just as long as they are in the same thickness proportions and that will include the border in the circle too.

Best way to work it out, is to get a standard pic of the front of herbie, and measure on the pic, the size of the stripes compared to the overall size of the bonnet: IE: ratio.
Than using this ratio, measure the REAL size of ur bonnet on ur bug, and use the ratio to convert it into a REAL width.
Probably making no sense, but i will get the ratio and give u steps to measuring it up. I'll be back.

ok, i have done the ratios. Now I want you to go (when ur free) to ur bug, lift up the bonnet (cause I have done straight line measurements and didn't take not of curvature when taking hte full measurement).
Yep, so lift up the bonnet, and measure nicely the distance between the headlights from the positions of where i have the green dots. Using this overall distance, i will have the ability to transfer these ratios i got (13/485 for red, 39/485 for white and 49/485 for blue) into real time mm distances.

i have a herbie decal kit.
got it from the states its like $100 us + shipping.
got it like a year and a half ago. but i havent done my car to herbie yet.
