life is returning to normal, drove in the gate and saw the familiar black notch parked off to the right 🙂
Did a wee bit on the bug, but mostly was looking for parts and getting them clean or painted prior to fitting. Have repacked the bearings etc for the swing arms and have the stub axles poking through. Will pack the CV joints with grease, fit my new axle boots to the axles and attach them to the gearbox and stubs next weekend.
Anyone else work on their cars this weekend just gone?

sure did :thumb put a new sliding window in ! one that actually slides 😀 and finished reco'ing the brackes on the drivers side 😉 hopefully ive found someone who can help me rebuild my motor as well as she's a lil sad and sorry 4 her self atm 🙁

OK here it is.
I drive the beetle half a dozen times a year.
Petrol, rego and Insurance (although on club rego)are getting ridiculous.
For the amount of traveling it does it takes up valuable real estate.
I wouldn't use it as a daily driver (unlike the notch) because it would deteriorate quickly.

She's never let have a bike before.

I went up to Sydney for a long weekend which was great.The weather was beautiful for 2 days but rained on Sunday which is when i came home anyway.
Steven is still working up in newcastle,he's been gone about 7 weeks now so we're starting to believe he's got another family stashed away up there,lol!!!!
The major exciting news though apart from my splitty nearly being ready is my footy team,the mighty Saints are one game away from being in their first grand final in 8 years & the possibility of winning they're second ever premeirship flag so i'm very excited of the prospect of that....sorry i know thres not really any afl fans amongst you guys!!

and mandie we're road trippin it down to DOVW now 👍 we should get there on the friday some time, we'll either be in a freshly restored splitty (the one im workin on that my mate owns) or in a transported 👍 but we'll be there 4 sure
