I am halfway through moving house so my tech manual is packed away. I need to know the torque settings and order for doing up the head nuts on a 2 litre kombi. can someone pls look it up for me in your manual or where on the net i can find this info. much appreciatednn[ Edited on 13-9-2005 by kombidog ]
Factory VW manual says for 1700-2000, cylinder head nuts. "23 ft.lb" or 3.2 mkg, 28 Nm.

there is a certain order in which they need to be tightened also, does your manual have that?

Initial sequance is. front of car on the right.
unformly torque the nuts on dual carburettor and fuel injection engines to1.5 mkg (11ft lb) Then go over the sequence a second time finally bringing the torque to 23 ft lb - 3.2 mkg.
