WOOOOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I have wanted to see these guys live for years, and now finally I have tickets to their concert in December.
Jamiroquai are very much "you like them or you don't".
Does anyone else love them like I do?! 😀

Dodge, I went to the show when the first emergency on planet earth tour was on. This was when he wasn't well known and the tickets were $24. It was in an old cinema in Hindley Street, Adelaide. It rocked. Have also seen him twice since and will proberly see them again but not really keen about the latest album. He should get back on the drugs. The last couple of albums have been less funk and more mainstream compared to the early stuff which had big arrangements etc. Do you have the live in Verona DVD? Thats the bomb.
Also if you dont know about them (as many people still think that they have only had a couple of albums) go and get yourself 'emergency on planet earth and Return od the space cowboy'.
Return is far the best they have done and them synkronised is pretty good too.
Hope you enjoy the show!

C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.

I'm with Turbo54. Their earlier albums were unreal and I still play the drums to them. The inclusion of instrumental tracks on these albums was a crucial and much-appreciated aspect. Their more recent albums have been more of a collection of singles and lack the harder funk aspect has meant that they have made more money for Sony but lost a fair bit of feeling I think.
That being said, I did go to a drummers' workshop with the drummer and the percussionist last time they were over and it was awesome!!! The whole band ended up coming down at playing for a bit over an hour while talking about the influence of Jay Kay. The next night at the concert I could really see how much he directs everything as it happens. Gave me more respect for him as a performer.
Just my 2c
hoping to get my tix tommorrow!!!
the gig is on my birthday, so i'll be quite bummed if i don't get to go and its my bday....
can't really afford the 99 bucks, major increase on the $0 i paid last time to see them. but the concert was AWESOME. vibes on a summers day in sydney, watching him from the dj platform side of stage, jay kay commanding the entire crowd in a massive sway of the hands to a little classical interlude... Brilliant last time i saw them, hope its not a dissappointment this time round. but the brisbane venue is a pearler for this type of show :bounce
